Sergei Seletsky is without any doubt one of the most original contemporary Belarusian artists. His work is a contradiction both to official socialist realist academism, characteristic of a significant number of his peers, and to conformist “contemporary art”, striving for “relevance”, compliance with the current moment and taking out of brackets the desire to answer universal and eternal human questions.
